Certification Description

The Peer Resolution Conflict Certification (PRCT-I)

In Spanish is meticulously structured to train peer support specialists, health promoters, alcohol and drug counselors, and recovery mentors by teaching them conflict resolution skills with transformative approaches, community mediation, and other disciplines related to substance use, mental health, and gambling disorders, along with other professional development modules related to mediation and community resolution, to support their participants or clients in the community who present with conflictive approaches.

Certification Language

All course materials and presentations are delivered exclusively in Spanish, with an emphasis on cultural sensitivity and understanding, including the fundamentals of mediation and behavioral conflict resolution, crucial to addressing the unique challenges of the Latino/a community.

Purpose of Certification

The training is designed to be a progressive, comprehensive, dual-immersion, and advanced educational experience, with each unique session building on student learning about useful aspects of conflict resolution and transformative mediation. These skills are reinforced through an advanced self-guided learning system by trainers of the highest professional and academic level.

Duration Time

This Certification has a duration of 32 hours.

Certificate of Grade - I

LatinX Recovery Center Inc. will issue a certified document showing all modules and the score with which the participant passed each module.

Certificate of Completion guarantees that the participant completed all required modules and passed all assessments with the required grade.

Jose born in Maracaibo, Zulia State, Venezuela. I have been and Engineer in Petroleum and Gas Since 2010. Since 2013, have worked as a teacher , instructing students from Elementary to University level. My educational approach focuses on research -based academic development, always striving to foster critical thinking and academic excellence.

JORDAN BERGMANN
CHAIR

Jordan Bergmann is originally from the Midwest and has been working in the social services for over 8
years. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in addiction studies from the
University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. While working in North Dakota she had the opportunity to obtain a
certificate in community health work and became the first CHW for a local hospital there, primarily
working with underserved and rural populations to address social determinants of health.
Jordan strives to use her position to amplify the voices of those most marginalized in her community
and utilizes a structural social work lens to guide her work. Jordan now lives in Portland with her partner
and two pets and is serving as the Behavioral Health Court Coordinator at Beaverton Municipal Court.
She is currently completing a masters degree in Social Work at Portland State University.
