Who he is

He is the Executive Director of LatinX Recovery Center Inc, Additions Professional and is part of the Behavioral Health Crisis System Advisory Committee (BHCSAC) representing certified peer support specialists. He previously held positions in different public agencies aimed at substance abuse recovery and mental health.

During his career as a Journalist Advertising and Public Relations, he was a trainer on a variety of topics, now he ventures into the area of behavioral health as a continuing educator, and currently works on the design of educational packages and research related to SUD substance abuse .

Jose born in Maracaibo, Zulia State, Venezuela. I have been and Engineer in Petroleum and Gas Since 2010. Since 2013, have worked as a teacher , instructing students from Elementary to University level. My educational approach focuses on research -based academic development, always striving to foster critical thinking and academic excellence.

JORDAN BERGMANN
CHAIR

Jordan Bergmann is originally from the Midwest and has been working in the social services for over 8
years. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in addiction studies from the
University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. While working in North Dakota she had the opportunity to obtain a
certificate in community health work and became the first CHW for a local hospital there, primarily
working with underserved and rural populations to address social determinants of health.
Jordan strives to use her position to amplify the voices of those most marginalized in her community
and utilizes a structural social work lens to guide her work. Jordan now lives in Portland with her partner
and two pets and is serving as the Behavioral Health Court Coordinator at Beaverton Municipal Court.
She is currently completing a masters degree in Social Work at Portland State University.
